Design your own Table                 Leg Styles

Things to consider when sizing your table.

1. Chair Clearance - Allow 36" from the wall to the table edge. 30" will work but it's a bit tight.
2. Rectangular Tables - Allow 24" per place setting. A good average table width is 40".
3. Round Tables - A 48" table is comfortable for five and a little tight for six. A 60" table is comfortable for six and a little tight for eight.
4. Table Height - Standard height is 30 1/8" with a 3/4" thick top.

Legend:

4" Diameter Leg The diameter of the legs can make a big difference on marginally sized tables especially at the ends of a rectangular table. Too big a leg on a narrow table may keep your chair from fitting between the legs.
